Pyrex: The Unauthorized Collector's Guide Revised and Expanded 5th Edition, Barbara E. Mauzy
2 Pyrex: The Unauthorized Collector's Guide Revised and Expanded 5th Edition
Barbara E. Mauzy USA Schiffer Publishing 2014 0764346644 / 9780764346644 5th or later Edition Soft cover New Book 27.9 x 21.6 x 1.5 cm
Corning's PYREX glassware was created in the early 1900s to meet the needs of the expanding American railroad system, but American housewives' love of this recognizable, useful, and popular glass grew from the vast assortment of kitchen glass that followed. PYREX brand kitchen glass was the first product that allowed one to prepare, cook, and store in the same piece, and as the twentieth century progressed, PYREX options increased and color was added. You can usually tell what year a person got married by the color of the PYREX in the kitchen cabinet! This expanded edition explores those colors along with the clear ovenware, Flameware, laboratory glass and now for the first time, restaurantware. There are more than 150 additional color photographs, advertisements, and catalog pages proving once again that this is the most inclusive and necessary book in print on this subject of PYREX.

Barry Wilson Australia New Holland 2002 1876334428 / 9781876334420 Softcover New Book 1.1 x 14.7 x 0.9 cm
Have you ever strolled along a seashore picking up shells and wondered what they were? A Handbook to Australian Seashells will help you to identify most of the shells you find, no matter where you are on the Australian coast. It includes over 375 species of the most common seashells found along our seashores. Each one is illustrated with a beautiful colour photograph showing its colours, patterns, shape and sculpture. Seashells are the homes of strange little creatures collectively known as molluscs. The introductory section of the book describes what they are, how and where they live, what they eat and how they reproduce. It explains how the shells are made and grow. Detailed illustrations show mollusc body and shell parts and shapes and the terms used to describe them. Some also show how the shell fits on the animal. Some shells contain animals which are dangerous and should be left alone. These are indicated. There are also come notes about conservation and some simple tips on how to prepare shells for your collection. About the Author: Barry Wilson is a marine scientist who specialises in molluscs. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Western Australia in 1965 followed by post doctoral studies as a Research Fellow at the Harvard School of Evolutionary Biology. For many years he served as Curator of Mulluscs at the Western Australian Museum and later as Director of the National Museum of Victoria. He is presently Chairman of the Western Australian Marine Parks and Reserves Authority and Scientific Director of the Australian Wildlife Conservatory, a Perth based conservation organisation.

Big Boys' Toys: The Luxuries Every Man Should Have, Chris Connors
4 Big Boys' Toys: The Luxuries Every Man Should Have
Chris Connors Australia New Holland Publishers 2017 1742579531 / 9781742579535 Soft cover New Book 24.6 x 20.0 x 2.5 cm
Big Boys' Toys takes a look at the wonderful world of consumer items that are available for the general amusement value and general awesomeness. It is directed towards the discerning male who has a lot of disposable income and wants to fill that aching, gaping hole that was born in a deprived childhood and that can only be filled with lots and lots of stuff to play with. Big Boys' Toys assumes that you've got a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket but you need ideas on how to spend it. It's full of lists of great stuff, their descriptions, specifications and who and where to get it from. It's not so much a catalogue, but a compendium of ideas of what you could spend your money on a sort of kick starter for the imagination. It includes prices to give ball park figures of how deep you're going to have to dip into those offshore accounts in tax havens to be able to acquire these objects of desire, but really, it is a mere formality as money is not a concern.

7 The Art of Apple Branding: Australian Apple Case Labels and the Industry Since 1788
Christopher Cowles and David Walker Australia Apples from Oz 2004 0646434209 / 9780646434209 Hardcover New Book
This highly collectable publication is for art directors, designers, printers, historians, sociologists and all those interested in our apple industry. THE ART OF APPLE BRANDING: AUSTRALIAN APPLE CASE LABELS AND THE INDUSTRY SINCE 1788 is the only book of its type to chart how Australian agricultural produce has been sold to the former British Empire and beyond. Colourful paper labels were used to create an identity and, when glued onto wooden boxes, they remained the dominant visual clue about the perishable contents marketed to the wholesalers in local markets and far-flung lands. Memories were long and reputations were made and lost on the quality of the produce represented by these examples of 'industrial folk art'. Dimensions (cm): 28.800 x 25.800
